DAY 2 Merhaba arkadaşlar. I hope you are following my lessons from Lesson 1 (DAY 1). Today is the Second day of Lesson 3. and we will continue from where we left. So Let's Start........... Remember we are learning Frequently used sentences. Maybe: We use the word, ''Maybe'' Frequently and it's also important to learn it How to say in Turkish. So I will give you two ways of saying this one word. First one is, ''Belki'' it means, ''Maybe or perhaps'' . when someone asks something and you are not sure about it, then you say, ''Belki'' .  And the other way to say it is, ''Olabilir'' , it also can means ''Maybe or Perhaps'' . I'm not saying that these are the only way to say ''Maybe'' in Turkish. You can use other words with a little twisting. But these are most common. That's why I prefer you use these two words. It's good:

Learn Turkish Lesson 3 - Frequently Used Sentences (DAY 2)

DAY 2

Merhaba arkadaşlar.
I hope you are following my lessons from Lesson 1 (DAY 1). Today is the Second day of Lesson 3. and we will continue from where we left. So Let's Start...........

Remember we are learning Frequently used sentences.

Maybe:

We use the word, ''Maybe'' Frequently and it's also important to learn it How to say in Turkish. So I will give you two ways of saying this one word. First one is, ''Belki'' it means, ''Maybe or perhaps''. when someone asks something and you are not sure about it, then you say, ''Belki''

And the other way to say it is, ''Olabilir'', it also can means ''Maybe or Perhaps''. I'm not saying that these are the only way to say ''Maybe'' in Turkish. You can use other words with a little twisting. But these are most common. That's why I prefer you use these two words.

It's good:

You should enjoy reading, otherwise, you will not be able to improve yourself in any situation of life.
When someone says something good or someone shows you away or it can be anything, you say, ''It's good''. to say this in Turkish we have two different words. First one is, ''Bu iyi'' which means, ''It's good''. and the second one is, ''iyi''. You can use any of them. Both are correct.

Perfect:

This word is also common. In English, it's used very commonly. But in Turkish it's used only when something is really perfect. and sometimes it's used when your friends are addicted to saying, ''Perfect''. it's OK.
In Turkish you can say, ''Mükemmel'' it literally means, ''Perfect''
You can use this in every situation of life as you use the word, ''Perfect'' in the English Language.

Too bad:

This phrase itself is a negative phrase. but still, we use it when there something really really bad. even to bad things and bad people we use it. You either use it or not, you should learn it How to say it in the Turkish language.
In Turkish, you can say, ''Çok kötü''. It means, ''Very bad'' or ''Too bad''
And I recommend you not to use it all the time.😃

Finally:

This word is also used frequently. we use it when we are waiting for something to happen or maybe we are doing something for a long time and now finally we finished it. then we say, ''Finally''
In Turkish you can say like this, ''Sonunda'' or ''En sonunda'' or ''Nihayet''
All of them are used. you can use any of them.
''Nihayet bitirdim'' - ''Finally I finished''😅

You are lucky:

You can compliment your friend or someone by saying, ''You are lucky'' if there is something really lucky. Maybe you are lucky or your friend. This phrase is a little compliment.
In Turkish you can say, ''Şanslısınız'' this is (formal) and it means, ''You are lucky''
And the (informal) way is, ''Şanslısın'' and the meaning of them are same ''You are lucky''

No Doubt About It:

There are some situations which you face in your life. Full of doubts and there are some situations which are free of doubt.
When you are telling someone about something, or someone is telling you about something, and in between you use,
''No doubt about it''. Because you want to be sure that everything is 100% sure, and there is no doubt about it.
In Turkish you can, ''Şüphesiz'' or ''Hiç şüphe yok'' both have the same meaning, ''No doubt about it'' or ''It's free of doubts''
You can practice any of them. Choose Any of them.😊

Are you kidding me?:

Now this phrase is very common.😃 Your friends or family members use it a lot. Now we will learn it in the Turkish language. Yeah I know you are kidding me, but I ask again, ''Are you kidding me?''
In Turkish you can say like this, ''Şaka mı yapıyorsunuz?'' it's (formal) and it means ''Are you kidding me?''
And the (formal) way is, ''Şaka mı yapıyorsun?''

Pretend one of your friends is telling something unbelievable, and you are willing to believe but you can't. maybe because your friend is lying or maybe kidding. in that case, you say,
''Şaka mı yapıyorsun?'' - ''Are you kidding?''

And another way of saying this is, ''Yok artık'' which literally means, ''No way''. You can use this in both places, where you are shocked and you say, ''Yok artık''👀 It's like, ''No way''

I hope you are reading these with Joy😉

Stop it:

Your friend is disturbing you, or maybe you want to stop a Taxi. if not these then you want to stop anything which you want to stop. For this you say, ''Stop it'' in Turkish you can say like this,
''Durdur şunu'' which means ''Stop it''

If your friend is annoying with his voice or any other voice which is disturbing you. In Turkish, you say, ''Kes şunu'' which literally means, ''Cut it''. It's used to stop something which annoys you.

Or maybe you are tired of your brother or sister who is talking so much. and you want to stop him or her, so in Turkish you say,
''Dur artık'' which means, ''Stop it'' or in other words, ''Stop Mann''
You can use these in your daily life routine.

Don't do it:

If you want to stop someone from doing something. or anyone who is doing the wrong thing. you can stop him or her by saying,
''Yapma'' which means ''Don't''.
Or if you want to say, ''Don't do it'' in Turkish you can say like this,
''Yapma şunu'' which means, ''Don't do it''

It's Ok, Don't worry:

Maybe someone is so sad, or depressed or someone did a mistake and asking for forgiveness. then you say, ''It's ok, don't worry''
In Turkish, you can use the following phrases in that situation,
''Sorun değil, Dert etme''. Or you can use ''kafana takma'' instead of ''Dert etme''. or you can use, ''Endişelenme'' which also means, ''Don't worry''.

I hope these are useful and important for you. For today it's enough. We have already learned so many things. and I'm a little sorry for making it a little longer. Because sometimes we don't understand things without a little explanation. that's why I did a little long.

Until Next Lesson, See you (Görüşürüz)
