Learn Turkish Lesson 3 - Frequently Used Sentences (DAY 2)

DAY 2 Merhaba arkadaşlar. I hope you are following my lessons from Lesson 1 (DAY 1). Today is the Second day of Lesson 3. and we will continue from where we left. So Let's Start........... Remember we are learning Frequently used sentences. Maybe: We use the word, ''Maybe'' Frequently and it's also important to learn it How to say in Turkish. So I will give you two ways of saying this one word. First one is, ''Belki'' it means, ''Maybe or perhaps'' . when someone asks something and you are not sure about it, then you say, ''Belki'' .  And the other way to say it is, ''Olabilir'' , it also can means ''Maybe or Perhaps'' . I'm not saying that these are the only way to say ''Maybe'' in Turkish. You can use other words with a little twisting. But these are most common. That's why I prefer you use these two words. It's good:

Learn Turkish Lesson 1 - Basics of Turkish Language (Day 4, Last Day)

Merhaba. Today is the last day of  Lesson 1 - Basics of Turkish Language. Today we will learn Some phrases about saynig Happy birthday and so on. Read the Article fully to Understand all😊

Happy Birthday

In Turkish it's not like English to say ''Happy birthday day'' which the subject and object is unknown. But when you say ''Happy Birthday to you'' then the person who's birthday is known. and now
you can understand who's birthday is. So in Turkish it's used like the second one. ''Doğum günün kuktlu olsun'' Which literally means ''Birth day happiness be''. But I translated them word by word that's why it translated stranegly. But it's used to day
''Happy birthday to you''.

Happy New year

This is also the same situation with Turkish. You have to complete the sentence in order to say ''Happy New Year''. I mean to complete the sentence is to say the name of the person you are saying to or you should use the pronoune. Let me explain it with Examples again.
When you say ''Happy New Year'' the second person whom you are talking is unknown here. you should say ''Happy New year to you'' in order to say properly. So in Turkish it's said like this, ''Mutlu yeni yıllar sana''. Which literally means ''Happy New year to you''. But Turkish people also use, ''Mutlu yeni yıllar'' Only. which is same as in English, ''Happy New Year''. So you can choose either first one or the second one. It's totally fine😄

Note: I will give you an extra phrase which is used to ask ''Do you speak English?''.  It's just an extra tip or you can say an extra glass of coffee 😅just to improve your Turkish language.

Do you speak English?

Speaker

Without telling any story let me tell you How to say, ''Do you speak English?'' in Turkish. It's said like this,
''İngilizce konuşabiliyor musunuz?'' and it's (formal)
The (informal) way of saying this is,
''İngilzce konuşabiliyor musun?'' and the meaning is same.
Now you can add any other language instead of ''İngilizce''. I will give you a list of few names of the languages, So that it will be helpful for your Turkish learning. OK

But before that let's learn how to answer this question.

To answer you can say anything. like, ''Evet, konuşabiliyorum''. Which means, ''Yes, I can speak''. Or you can say, ''Hayır, ingilizce bilmiyorum'' Which literally means, ''No, I don't know English''.

With time, you will learn many kinds of answering questions. but for now, keep it simple, easy, and clear. So that you will not get confused while learning Turkish Language. OK😊

Here is the list of names of the Langauges:

Japonca      -     Japanese

Fransızca    -    French
İspanyolca  -    Spanish
Almanca     -    German
İtalyanca     -    Italian
Arapça        -    Arabic
Çince          -    Chinese
İsveççe       -     Swedish
Rusça         -     Russian

So for Today, these are enough. You should not force yourself to learn lot's fo words and sentences in one day. Just relax and keep learning smothly. You will be able to speak in Turkish language one day. Trust me. and also Don't forget to Watch version of these lessons.
