Learn Turkish Lesson 3 - Frequently Used Sentences (DAY 2)

DAY 2 Merhaba arkadaşlar. I hope you are following my lessons from Lesson 1 (DAY 1). Today is the Second day of Lesson 3. and we will continue from where we left. So Let's Start........... Remember we are learning Frequently used sentences. Maybe: We use the word, ''Maybe'' Frequently and it's also important to learn it How to say in Turkish. So I will give you two ways of saying this one word. First one is, ''Belki'' it means, ''Maybe or perhaps'' . when someone asks something and you are not sure about it, then you say, ''Belki'' .  And the other way to say it is, ''Olabilir'' , it also can means ''Maybe or Perhaps'' . I'm not saying that these are the only way to say ''Maybe'' in Turkish. You can use other words with a little twisting. But these are most common. That's why I prefer you use these two words. It's good:

Learn Turkish Lesson 2 - Introduction (Giriş) DAY 3

DAY 3

Hey friends, welcome back. I hope you are reading and learning Turkish with my Articles. Don't forget that you are improving your Turkish language with Reading, and also you are improving your English with reading. Of course, I am saying this to those people who are also learning and trying to practice their English language.

So in today's lesson, we will learn Sentences about Telephone and talking on the Telephone. and also Birthday's and the places of birth. So you can talk these with your friends and improve your Turkish language. OK😊

(1) What's your phone number?

Be careful talking on the phone for long period will be harmful to you, Don't forget😅

To ask someone's phone number, you will say,
''Telefon numaranız ne?'' It means, ''What's your phone number?'' It's (formal). And the (informal) way is,
''Telefon numaran ne?'' It also means, ''What's your phone number?''

''Telefon'' (Telephone)
''Numara'' (Number) = ''Numaran'' (Your number)
''Ne'' (What) and also (What is it?)

And you can answer like this,
''Benim telefon numaram....and your number''  It's like this,
''My telephone or phone number is.........''
''Benim'' (My or Mine)
''Telefon'' (Telephone or Phone)
''Numaram'' (My number)

(2) When were you born?

You have learned how to say, ''Happy birthday'' in the previous lesson. So now we will learn how to ask, ''When were you born?''
To say this you will say like this,
''Ne zaman doğdunuz?'' it is (formal) way of saying,
'' When were you born?''

And the (informal) way is, ''Ne zaman doğdun?'' and the meaning of them is same.

''Ne'' (What) - ''Zaman'' (Time) - ''Doğdun'' (You were born).

And the answer can be like this,
''Bir mart bin dokuz yüz doksan beş''  It means,
''One march Nineteen Ninety Five'' (1 March 1995)

''Bir'' (One) - ''Mart''(March)
''Bin''(One thousand) - ''Dokuz'' (Nine) - ''Yüz''(Hundred)
''Doksan''(Ninety) - ''Doksan beş'' (Ninety Five)

(3) Where were you born?

Now let's learn how to ask about the place where your friend was born. To ask this you will say,

''Nerede doğdunuz?'' it means ''Where were you born?'' it's (formal)
And the (informal) way is,
''Nerede doğdunuz?'' it also means, ''Where were you born?''

''Nerede''(Where or At where, you know you are asking about the place where he or she was born)
''Doğdun or Doğdunuz'' (You were born)

Now let's answer this question. You can use the following stuff,
''(the name of the city and then...doğdum''

For Example:
''Pakistan'da doğdum'' which means ''I was born in Pakistan''
''İstanbul'da doğdum'' which means ''I was born in Istanbul''

You can use city or country names, of course, you will use the name of the place where you were born, whether it is a name of city or country or village. You can use them all. Can't you?😅

Here ''da'' means ''in''. So like this you can use any name of the city or place where you were born. Just use ''da'' after the name of the place, and at last, say ''doğdum'' which means ''I was born'' as I have given you examples.

NOTE: Always remember to read them several times, and take notes while you are learning a new language. It will help you to remember better with these 👇

''Reading+Writing+Repeating''. OK😉

So these were for today's lesson, Read, Write, Repeat and Practice with your friends. You will get know this language very Quickly.

Until next lesson, Take care of yourself and                                      Goodbye
